Hennock & Teign Village Garden Show & Craft Festival (Sat 12th & 13th Sept)
Tue 11 Aug 2026
Our much-loved annual Hennock & Teign Village Garden & Craft Festival returns over the weekend of Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th September, and this year we're delighted to be expanding across three venues as Hennock Primary School joins the festival.
At Hennock Village Hall, visitors can enjoy the traditional village show, with exhibits ranging from vegetables, floral arrangements to baking, handicrafts and children's classes. Everyone is welcome to enter. There will also be stalls selling local produce, honey and plants, and the ever-popular afternoon tea’s serving homemade cakes and refreshments.
A short stroll away, St Mary's Church will be filled with beautiful artisan crafts created by local makers. Throughout the weekend there will be demonstrations of traditional skills including wool spinning. Local history exhibition will be displayed and local harpist Pam Marchant will provide delightful musical interludes during the afternoons, while community groups will have decorated the church windows to create a colourful festival backdrop.
This year we're especially pleased to welcome Hennock Primary School as part of the festival. Visitors are invited to explore the school's newly opened garden and playground (nature rich, community supported) and enjoy the whole-school creative project. Pupils' artwork, inspired by what makes Hennock special, will showcase a wide range of materials and techniques, including recycled and repurposed resources. Visitors will also have the opportunity to join in with creative workshops, and the school choir will perform over the weekend.
