Devon Guild current/upcoming events
Tue 28 Sep 2010
It is Arts Council and local sponsor funded and we are going to take the show on tour all round Britain, so it is a biggie. John Makepeace is a Dorset based furniture maker who makes his tables and chairs using trees from English woodlands and forests and he is very into sustainable resources and using indigenous wood to put back into the countryside. As we'll have lots of show and tell type things: woodworking tools, wood samples, film, design activities to go with the work (some pieces from the V&A!) -we are hoping the kids - and the dads - will like it!
Saturday 18th September to Friday 29th October
