FREE: ENJOY A GUIDED WALK ON DARTMOOR FOR ALL THE FAMILY!

Wed 10 Nov 2021

The Dartmoor Pony Heritage Trust (DPHT), based at Parke, is a local charity committed to ensuring a future for the Dartmoor pony and providing information and education about Dartmoor past and present.

We offer FREE guided walks all year round at our Bellever site, near Postbridge.

Book in advance on a day to suit you; the walk can be exclusive to your group or join with others – as long as there are 6 persons or more.  The focus is on fun as well as a little gentle exercise.  Learn more about the heritage, history, archaeology, flora and fauna of Dartmoor, hear some of its ‘tall tales’ and hopefully meet our herd of ponies!  Walks are 2-4 hours, suitable for people of all ages and can be tailored to your particular timing or interests.

We are also looking for new volunteers to help with conservation work on Dartmoor and with running the Centre/looking after the site and ponies at Parke.  Opportunities range from gardening to herd checking, to unearthing archaeology or rebuilding stone walls!

Contact the DPHT on 01626 833234 or email:  [email protected] to find out more or to organise a date for a guided walk.
