'Fahrenheit and Celsius' Premiere - Bovey Tracey Players

Sun 11 Sep 2011

Bovey Tracey Town Hall from Wednesday 26th October to Saturday 29th October 2011

What would your reaction be if your friend who owned some land on the edge of Dartmoor decided to apply for permission to erect some wind turbines? Would you be pleased that someone was taking a stand in encouraging the use of alternative technology? Alternatively would you be horrified that the beauty of Dartmoor was being desecrated by these huge ugly monsters?

This is the essence of the plot in the next Bovey Players production which will be presented in October. ‘Fahrenheit and Celsius’ is the premiere of a new play written by James Gillingham, who wrote the one act play ‘Sliced’ which the Players presented in 2006, and which went on to win two national play writing awards.

This is not a play which makes an argument for or against the use of alternative technology but explores like all drama, how these arguments can affect friendships and family relationships

‘Fahrenheit and Celsius’, which will be directed by Nigel Gillingham, will be presented at Bovey Tracey Town Hall from Wednesday 26th October to Saturday 29th October 2011. Watch out for press and publicity nearer the time.

For all enquiries about ‘Fahrenheit and Celsius’ please contact the Director, Nigel Gillingham on 01626 833350.
